Steps to becoming a resident:
1. Read Applicant Screening Criteria and initial at bottom.
2. Fill out ENTIRE application form and sign where indicated on both the screening criteria and the application.
3. Provide a Social Security card and government issued pictured I.D.
4. Provide a current pay stub (income must be equal to three times the amount of rent).
5. If home ownership is stated on application, provide proof of ownership.
6. Pay the non-refundable screening fee.
7. Be prepared to wait 5 business days for application approval.
8. If approved, be ready to sign a written rental agreement and pay all required deposits and fees and all other required money. You must take possession of the unit within 7 days from application approval.

Grounds for Denial

1. A major felony or an eviction
2. Poor credit history
3. Poor rental history
4. Application filled out with false information

The minimum security deposit may be increased depending on the background check. AMI reserves the right to deny an applicant based on their background history.
